Senior Pastor Profile
Pastor Jeremiah Willemse experienced the call of God in 1984. Since then he has been involved in ministry on various levels. He served the Petra Life Centre assembly as Sunday school teacher, youth leader and church secretary. He also served the AFM South Peninsula region as Regional youth leader and served on the Regional Sunday school department.
He is the senior pastor of Petra Life Centre, a vibrant, relevant and fast growing church, in Mitchell’s Plain.
In 1992 God inspired him to prepare for ministry and subsequently he enrolled at Sarepta Theological College. He completed his three year licentiate in theology in 1994. He has completed his Honours and Masters degrees at the University of the Western Cape.
He has a great passion for God’s word, God’s people and his family. He is known for teaching God’s Word in a fresh, practical and revelatory way that always unveils Jesus. His humorous, dynamic and engaging style of preaching has also endeared him amongst the congregation and his peers.
He is married to Dr Juliana Willemse, a lecturer at the University of the Western Cape and has two daughters and a son that he dearly loves.

Academic Achievements
Pastor Jeremiah has a passion for lifelong learning and has subsequently completed a three (3) Licentiate in Theology, B.Th. Honours and Masters in Theology at the University of the Western Cape. His master’s dissertation was in Family and Youth and seeked to understand the relation of family participation with youth in the context of church. His research contributed to the body of knowledge by developing a method of how family dynamics can be integrated in youth ministry.
AFM of SA involvement
Pastor Jeremiah Willemse served as Campus Manager and lecturer in practical theology, systematic theology and church history at the Seminary of the Apostolic Faith Mission.
He also served the AFM of SA as regional youth leader and the regional sunday school ministry.
He is involved in AFM Administration of Justice as a member of the National Disciplinary Commission.
Leadership and Training Developer
He is very passionate about developing the next generation and has been training and developing leaders across the country for the last 20 years. He travels nationally and international to speak at leadership conferences.
He is founder of Leadership Incubator which is committed to help, inspire and tool the next generation to fulfil their role and purpose in building a society that will impact the generation of their time.
Family and marriage is another passion and service that Leadership Incubator is rendering. The family is the basic fabric of society and therefore he has conferences, and courses that helps families and couples to safely navigate through the challenges of the 21st Century.
